Matthew Newman

Matt is the Chair of the 'Apprentice' Ambassador Network in the NW. He is a young proactive and dynamic individual that takes great pride in all that he does. He was born in Bolton and raised in Salford. Matt started my career at United Utilities as an apprentice and since joining has completed 2 apprenticeships, with a third in progress. He has a strong work ethic, juggling a full time and 3 part time jobs, as well as his responsibilities for the NW 'Apprentice' Ambassador Network.

Emilia Hoyle

Emilia is the Vice Chair of the 'Apprentice' Ambassador Network in the NW. She is motivated, hardworking and always strives to create the highest quality of work.  She started at Heat Trace Limited on a Level 4 Apprenticeship after completing her A Levels and has since completed a Degree Apprenticeship, achieving a 1st Class Honours Degree and has been promoted to Marketing Manager at Heat Trace Limited.  Additionally, she won The Lloyds Banking Group Award for Rising Star of the Year at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019. It is great that her achievements and progression have been recognised at a National Level. Emilia loves being an Ambassador as she can share her apprenticeship story to ensure others are aware of the great benefits that are achieved from apprenticeships.

Alisha Clarkson

Alisha is the Communications Lead of the ‘Apprentice’ Ambassador Network in the NW. After joining North Lancs Training Group as an apprentice fresh out of school 8 years ago, she has completed 4 apprenticeships and is currently undertaking an Education and SEN Bachelor’s Degree, which has enabled her to progress within the company and build a career for herself. Alisha is motivated, hardworking and takes great pride helping young people progress. She thoroughly enjoys being an Ambassador for apprenticeships, as it enables her to pass on her experiences, in the hopes of inspiring others to explore their options.

Natalie White

Upon leaving secondary school Natalie secured a Business Apprenticeship within the Human Resources team at a local organisation NNL. Whilst working full time she was supported to study part time for a BA Hons Business degree in which she graduated with a 1st class degree in July 2018. Ultimately Natalie’s proudest moment was through completing an apprenticeship and acting as an ambassador when she was awarded the UK Apprentice Champion 2018 as part of the National Apprenticeship Awards. Chloe now works at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors as the Early Careers Manager leading on the recruitment and development of apprentices, placement students and trainee solicitors over 10 offices across the UK. Natalie is the Lead for Recruitment for the 'Apprentice' Ambassador Network.

Oksana started her apprenticeship in 2017 with Royal Mail. She was looking for a job and saw this opportunity on the website and decided to apply. Currently, she studies at the Middlesex University where she learns what is involved to become a professional and ethical salesperson. Alongside her studies she works as an account manager at Royal Mail where she manages approx. 200 customers to ensure they have the right delivery services they need to have successful businesses. It can be quite difficult to choose a profession but Oksana is glad she  chose an apprenticeship as she had a lot of support from her employer and many opportunities that she would not have had otherwise.

 Oksana is the Lead for Engagement & Events.

Chloe Cunningham

Chloe has recently completed her Level 3 Business Administration qualification as an Apprentice Fleet Administrator at United Utilities. She is also a dance teacher delivering classes to a varying age group, this has always been a hobby of Chloe’s and she enjoys using her own experiences to support others with their own careers. Chloe’s time as an apprentice has been great, she has been supported every step of the way and feels she has developed and improved in so many ways. The opportunities she has been given so far are endless and she is looking forward to her future with United Utilities. Chloe is the Lead for Cheshire & Warrington sub region.

Charlotte Stoddard

Charlotte started working for Trafford Council in 2016, following successful completion of her a-levels, as a Business Administration apprentice within the Human Resources team. Four years on and she is completing her third apprenticeship with Trafford Council – Level 5 CIPD with HR Consultancy/Partner. Her apprenticeship qualification allows her to cement her knowledge of HR policy, legislation and processes learnt within the workplace as well as enabling her to be a more rounded, confident and skilled HR professional.  The experience, skills and knowledge learnt from apprenticeships permitted Charlotte to progress within the organisation to her current position of HR Officer and allow her to develop further in her HR career. Charlotte is the Lead for the Greater Manchester sub region.

Sara McGinlay

Having completed a Level 4 Business & Professional Administration apprenticeship in 2018, Sara progressed to the Chartered Management Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship whilst undertaking the role of an Apprenticeship Programme Manager at Royal Mail Group. She is passionate about apprenticeships and loves meeting others who are completing all kinds of apprenticeships! Outside of work, Sara an avid photographer and loves to spend my time outdoors with her dog.Sara is the Lead for Lancashire sub region.
